Verify Roanoke City Arrest Jurisdiction

“Roanoke” may refer to the independent city, Roanoke County, the wider region, or a postal address. A County arrest belongs to Roanoke County's law-enforcement and court systems. A Salem event belongs to Salem. If the location is uncertain, check the agency named on the report, warrant, summons, or court notice before submitting a request. Reporting delays and charge amendments can make the sources disagree for a time.

The general-public SP-167 criminal record check is not an instant public name database. It generates a notarized request for mailing to VSP CARE. VSP states an approximate 15-business-day period after receipt and offers no expedited or same-day service. When a CCRE entry appears wrong, the useful correction materials may include fingerprints and a certified disposition from the contributing Roanoke City court.
